Ways you can help at home:
Work with your child on telling time and counting money. Ask them to tell you what time it is a few times throughout the day using an analog clock. If you are at the store and pay for something with cash, ask students to see if they can figure out how much change they will get back. Count money each day using both bills and coins. This is help your student tremendously, the more exposed to these concepts they are the faster they will master these skills.

- Identify the three digits of a three-digit number as representing the amount of hundreds, tens, and ones. (2.NBT.1)
- Represent the digits of a three-digit number as hundreds, tens, and ones. (2.NBT.1)
- Count forward and backward within 1,000. (2.NBT.2)
- Skip count by fives, tens, and hundreds. (2.NBT.2)
- Read and write numbers to 1,000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. (2.NBT.3)
- Compare two, three-digit numbers based on meanings of the hundreds, tens, and ones digits using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons. (2.NBT.4)
- Mentally add 10 or 100 to a given number 100–900, and mentally subtract 10 or 100 from a given number 100–900. (2.NBT.8)
- Increase or decrease three-digit numbers by multiples of 10 or 100 by applying the concept of addition and subtraction of single-digit numbers and by using concepts of place value. (2.NBT.8)
- Tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest five minutes using a.m. and p.m.(2.MD.7
- Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately.(2.MD.8)
